Concept of Snap is an online magazine that publishes a curated body of thoughtful, original, and high quality written work about all things related to disc golf.
Strong opinions and hot takes are welcome and even encouraged, as long as the accompanying content is civil, thoughtful, and well written. COS’s goal is to be an arbiter of taste and opinion in the disc golf world. We want to be on the cutting edge of opinion and convention, and want to give a voice to the innovators of the community.
If Concept of Snap wants to publish your article, we will make a monetary offer to purchase it!
Submission Guidelines
Submissions must be about disc golf in some way.
Reviews for individual products are not allowed but larger scale commentary about a brand or kind of product is acceptable. COS wishes to keep emphasis on the game and not the equipment.
Topics can be as large or small scale as the writer would like. Opinions about DGPT standings or something that is happening in your local club are both acceptable as long as the writing is interesting and the content is novel.
Submissions should be approximately 750 to 5000 words long.
Submissions about hot-button social topics will be allowed but accepted discriminately. All writing on this type of topic must be civil, well informed, free of hateful rhetoric, and in good faith to be published.
Photos and images are welcomed and encouraged to be submitted with articles.
Revisions and edits will be kept as minimal as possible but some revising may be required as a condition of publication.
If Concept of Snap wishes to purchase your article, you will be contacted directly and an agreement will be negotiated. Compensation will vary depending on many factors including but not limited to: length of article, editor’s assessment of overall quality, author’s reputation, etc. Payment is made through PayPal.
Please send submissions to info@conceptofsnap.com. Please put “Article Submission: (article title)” in the subject line. Please attach article as a .docx or equivalent file. Please include your actual name and an alias/screen name if you would like to remain anonymous.
